Prohibited Items Policy

Thrift Bay is for legal items that you own and may sell. Listings that break this policy are removed, and accounts that keep breaking it are suspended.
You may not list
- Weapons, firearms and their parts, ammunition, explosives, and replica guns that look real
- Drugs and narcotics, including cannabis products, and drug paraphernalia
- Prescription medicines, medical devices that need a licence, and blood or organs
- Alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, and vapes
- Counterfeit, "first copy", or "master copy" goods, and pirated software, films, or games
- Stolen goods, or items you can't prove you own
- Wildlife and animal products (ivory, skins, horns, shells, red sanders) and protected plants
- Live animals and pets
- Adult content and services
- Hazardous materials such as chemicals, gas cylinders, and fireworks
- Government IDs, documents, licence plates, and SIM cards
- Financial products, lottery tickets, cryptocurrency, and gift cards or vouchers sold for cash
- Job vacancies and property, which aren't supported yet (services from skilled people are welcome)
Listings we review
- Listings that ask for an advance payment, a "token amount", or courier-only deals
- Prices far below the item's usual value, or the same listing posted many times
- Listings in the wrong category, or with photos copied from elsewhere
Some words in titles and descriptions are checked automatically. Listings with blocked words can't be posted, and others go to our moderators for review. If your listing was removed, the email we sent you gives the reason. You can ask us to look again from the Contact & grievance page.
